Seven years ago, while preparing for a mastering project of a mammoth Grateful Dead box set, I ordered a pair of Pultec EQM-1A3s (serial #s 1 & 2) suspecting they would bring just the right vibe to the music. Boy, were they the perfect choice! Since then I’ve used the Pultecs on a couple thousand records. No other EQ does what they do, and Pultec’s customer service has been impeccable.
